Absolutes of God's will for your life

Have you ever heard someone say, “God moves in mysterious ways”? I sure am glad that statement isn't true. The will of God doesn't have to be mysterious.

Here are some things you can absolutely count on.

1. God’s will is salvation.
    1. Our heavenly Father desires that all of humankind have eternal life with Him.
    2. That includes you.
      1. Titus 2:11 "For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, 13 while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. 14 He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds."
    3. God's will and desire is that all will be saved, He has revealed that to the world.
    4. The church, Christianity's sole mission is to share that great news with all.
      1. Christ gave His life to free us now we need to totally commit our life to doing good.
2. God’s will is dominion.
    1. Dominion simply means control.
    2. God wants you to apply His Word and take control of your body, thought life, attitude, and future.
      1. Many think they will never be able to find God's will, God's purpose, or God's plan when in fact He told us to rule or have dominion over all the earth.
        1. 1 Peter 4:10 "God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.11 Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen."
      2. All dominion is God's to give and He gave authority to mankind to rule the earth.
      3. God gave His son Jesus Christ all authority, all power, and all dominion forever and ever.

3. God’s will is discipleship.
    1. We are to grow in our walk with Christ.
      1. Growing is a sign of life.
      2. Stagnation, decay, or rotting is a sign of death.
        1. Many think they are living when in reality they are dying through religion, traditions, attitude, rebellion, operation in the flesh, or in battling their sin nature.
        2. Jesus came to give us life and that life abundantly.
      3. As we mature we are to help others do the same.
        1. Every "disciple of Christ" should be making, creating, "disciples of Christ."
        2. Who are you mentoring?
        3. Who are you bringing closer to God?
        4. Who are you encouraging and sharpening in their faith?

4. God’s will is unity.

    1. Your words and actions must be united with God’s Word.
      1. God's Word is our measuring apparatus, not people, programs, ideas, or structure.
      2. Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable."
        1. With each of  us being accountable to God for every action, every word, and every deed, who else matters?
          1. Respectfully, if you refuse to live life to it's fullest because you are rejecting God's plan, God's way, God's heart, or God's rescue then what a sad life to live.
5. God’s will is stewardship.
    1. We are to take proper care of our time, money, abilities, and all God has entrusted us with.
      1. Stewardship-a person who manages another's property or financial affairs.
        1. God has entrusted me to manage His things, His finances that He blesses me with, His children that He has blessed me with, His resources that I manage for Him. WOW!
        2. This is such a powerful opportunity, and weighty responsibility that I do not want to fail in.
        3. Luke 16:10 "If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won't be honest with greater responsibilities.11 And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?12 And if you are not faithful with other people's things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?"
          1. What a responsibility Christianity has, what an enormous responsibility the global church has.
6. God’s will is relationships.
    1. Through the power of relationships, you will be able to accomplish things that would be impossible if you were alone.
      1. Galatians 6:1 "Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer* is overcome by some sin, you who are godly* should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.2 Share each other's burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.3 If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important."

7. God’s will is progressive.

    1. God has a plan for your life that will be completed one step at a time, not in leaps or bounds.
      1. Grow in Him daily!
