I could go on all day of the incorrect ways we as Christians are to function and operate, to act or not act, live or not live. This month we have been discussing Oxymoron Christianity which means the terms are in direct conflict of each other when said together. These sound so funny to us, even ridiculous yet this is the exact way many Christians choose to live their Christian lives.

This is what they choose.

1.When you hear the word of God and refuse to respond to it's life altering, life saving message that's rebellion.
God's Word is life giving, God's word brings joy, brings health, passion, strength and freedom to all who embrace it.
Christians many times refuse to read the word of God so when troublesome times come we're in fear.
When financial duress shows up were faithless and discouraged.
When we get criticized, or judged we become bitter, frustrated, and hatful instead of motivated and relentless to fulfill our God mission.
When we get trapped by sin we stay incarcerated because we forget the very reason Jesus came, to free mankind!
When the enemy rushes into our situation we operate out of frustration, discouragement, & disbelief instead of faith, confidence, & courage.

Romans 12:8 (NLT) "If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly."

"Some churches exist in a city, some against the city, we exist FOR the city."

I believe Solid Rock exists for the city.
OUR VISION:is to provide a church where people can be saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped, empowered, and serving.
OUR MISSION:is to light the darkness and help every person in Jesus, become a disciple and build his kingdom.
If we can't share a vision we can't arrive at the same destination.
God has a perfect plan for the church, our job is to live out that mission.

Matthew 28:19-20 (NLT)
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. [20] Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

2. Jesus lead with passion, excitement, tenacity, power, authority, and the Kingdom of God progressed.
Don't mistake Him for being a wimp He was the man of all men.

He grew up a carpenter. You don't really see wimpy men in construction.

He lived His life in the perfect balance of the fruits of the Spirit

Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT) "But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!"

Yet He exuded the kind of aggressiveness that made warriors take notice, the type of formation that made the military pay attention, the category of authority that only Kings displayed.
We have to take notice of this infallible leader and choose to mimic Him in all that we say, think, or do.

"A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they dont want to go, but ought to be."

Galatians 2:16 "Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law."

There are 613 points of Jewish law that one would must fulfill to be considered a perfect law keeper.
                  That is impossible!
Yet Jesus learned that law, abided by that law, and became the perfect sacrifice for all mankind.
This is vital to our faith, and our eternity.
Being a good manager of our Christian walk is one of God's ultimate goals for the Christian.
Us dying to our moronic nature should be ours.

3. How can you hold on to a good conscience?

1 Timothy 1:19, NLT "Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked."

Treasure your faith in Christ more than anything else and do what you know is right.
Each time you deliberately ignore your conscience, you are hardening your heart.
Over a period of time your capacity to tell right from wrong will diminish.
You essentially telling God, "I can run my life so much better, I can run my marriage so much better, I could plan my future so much better, and I could handle my spirituality so much better."
This is not allowing Christ to be Lord, Savior, Deliverer, Leader, Healer, and protector of your life you have now dethroned Him then hired, promoted, and exalted yourself for the job.
Or worse you allow people, culture, society and media to guide you.
As you walk with God, He will speak to you through your conscience, letting you know the difference between right and wrong.
Real simple sounds like, "Hey that's not the best decision you could make right now. Hey that decision will have terrible repercussions on you, your family, those that love you and those you love. Hold on there is a better way."
Be sure to act and react to those inner tugs so that you do what is right--then your conscience will remain clear.
Your conscience is not God but God has placed that inside each of us to help us be guided by His will.
Your conscience will help kill the moron inside.
Sin desires to keep us moronic in our decisions, moronic in our goals, and moronic especially in our God relationship.
      Moron simply means-a stupid person.
How ridiculous is it that we think God is ever moronic about being God?
How stupid of us to think that as "For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. [17] God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him."

God loves us more than we could ever dream, think, imagine, or understand!
