Vision15 #reachUkiah with love

We are going to #reachUkiah with a vision.
We are going to #reachUkiah with love.

Your life as a Christian should make nonbelievers question their disbelief in God.

Our love for others should make the world around us take notice.

I.       Love is our language.

Philemon 1:5-7 NLT "[5] because I keep hearing about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all of God's people. [6] And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ. [7] Your love has given me much joy and comfort, my brother, for your kindness has often refreshed the hearts of God's people."

A.     It's our vision is to see people saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped, empowered and serving.
1.      I keep hearing about your faith in the Lord Jesus.
2.      Not just faith in the church, not just faith in your Christian relatives, not just faith in the next big event but in Jesus Christ.
3.      Faith in Jesus Christ is what gets us to heaven.
a)     Faith is our foundation, believing so much that we would step out on nothing to experience everything.
(1) Now faith.
(2) Faith in this moment for our city.
(3) Faith for this generation.
(4) Faith for our time.
B.     And I keep hearing about your love for all people.
1.      Love is a demonstration.
2.      Hearing about the love that was being demonstrated.
3.      Love is an action.
4.      Love is a verb.
5.      Love is kind.
6.      Love is compassionate.
7.      Love is caring, love is concern, pushing through toward doing.
8.      Love is timeless and speaks every language.
C.     Many of us love family, love spouses, love friends, but do we love all?
1.      Do we love beyond borders and parameters?
2.      Do we treat all people good?
3.      Do we treat all people kind, treat all people with compassion, with courage, with understanding and with love?
4.      Do we treat them with grace, mercy and forgiveness?
a)     As we express mercy, we express His love.
D.    In the global church there is a definitive understaffing of the love of God being displayed and demonstrated.
1.      We are the people of God and demonstrating the love of God is our specialty, it's our DNA, it's our way, it's how the bible teaches that the world knows we are different.
2.      Me loving someone does not take the pain away but it encourages them to know that someone cares, that someone is concerned, and that someone is calling out their name in prayer.
a)     Oh I have a vision that we will demonstrate prayer and that God will answer with fire!
3.      I have a vision that prayer and faith in God will be our first step and not our last resort.
a)     I have a vision that prayer will not be my spare tire!
E.      The scripture says in vs. 6 "I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith..."
1.      Generosity-the quality of being kind, the quality of being plentiful.
a)     Being generous in our love.
b)     Pouring out in great abundance our love toward God, toward one another, and toward others.
(1) Value God.
(2) Value Others.
(3) Value the Mission.
c)      Love is our language.
2.      Love empowers them to move forward knowing that someone believes in them, that someone is paying a price for them, and that love is molding their life.
II.   Love is our weapon.

Luke 4:18-19 NLT [18] "The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for He has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, [19] and that the time of the LORD's favor has come."

A.     It's our vision is to see people saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped, empowered and serving because it's God's vision for the church.
1.      I'm not making up a vision statement and living out the vision that I created, or that was created by a committee or group of members but deriving it straight from the word of an Almighty, all powerful, all knowing, all resource having God.

2 Peter 1:5-9 NLT [5] In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God's promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, [6] and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, [7] and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone. [8] The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."

2.      Love is a very, very powerful weapon.
a)     It was love that called Jesus to this earth, it was love that led Him to minister to the masses, it was love that held Him to the scourging post bringing healing, bringing compassion to every person.
b)     It was love that led Him to that cruel cross, where He poured out His life, poured out His truth, poured out His sacrifice for all of mankind.
c)      It was love that held Him to that cruel and brutal death on that cross and it was love that cried out "Father forgive them, they don't know what they are doing."
d)     It was love that said I will raise Him from the dead so He'll defeat death, hell and the grave!
e)     It was love that silences every enemy and it's love that has brought us forgiveness, belief, and eternal life!
(1) For He is love!
III.   Love is our answer.

1 John 3:16-19 NLT [16] We know what real love is because Jesus gave up His life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. [17] If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion-how can God's love be in that person? [18] Dear children, let's not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. [19] Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God."

A.     It's our vision is to see people saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped, empowered and serving.
1.      God responds to prayer, He responds to worship, He responds to those hungry and thirsty for His righteousness.
2.      He responds to our sacrifice of giving, serving, and leading.
3.      Through these serving, willing vessels, God empowers His people to accomplish great things.
a)     Visionaries set goals.
(1) Write it down.
(2) Focus on the end result.
(3) 3 out of 10 people write down their goals but they achieve more than the other 7 people combined.
(4) Create daily tasks, work hard, and focus on the process.
(5) Say affirmations daily.
(6) Visualize your success.
(7) Let it happen.
(8) Make it happen.
(9) What you visualize, you materialize.
(10)                 Goal achieved.
IV. God wastes nothing!
A.     Nothing is wasted when it comes to heaven's purposes.
B.     So many times we feel so ashamed, so unworthy, so untalented, so ungifted and we absolutely are but because of God's unfailing love, His unfailing power, we must speak out, speak up, speak over others, and speak into their life our great God.

Romans 8:28 NLT "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them."

C.     God is wise, He is kind, He is all healing, all love, all compassion, all justice, and an all inspiring leader.
1.      He is not wasteful!
2.      He will use anything to propel us forward, to propel us into growth, to propel us into His vision and we might fail but we'll fail forward as He is in us.
D.    Having a vision for your life will guard you, your future, your plans, your mission for God, and your offspring.
1.      When God through His Word began to pour vision into my life it made me begin to battle against the world, the flesh and the devil.
2.      It compelled me.
3.      The vision empowered me.
4.      The vision overtook me.
5.      The vision overwhelmed me, needing accomplished.
E.      I have a vision that this church body will always speak to the warrior in you and not the weakling.
1.      They will speak into your future and help you overcome and learn from the past.
F.      I have a unmitigated vision that this will be the most loving, spirit filled, worship filled, compassionate, friendly, helpful, inspiring, serving group of believers on the Northern coast!
G.    I have a vision that the Spirit of God will be so powerful in our lives, in our homes, in our families, in our relationships and in our love.
1.      I have a vision that hope will rise and defeat will die.
2.      I have a vision that God will move in and through each of us.
3.      I have a vision that His body will function in unity, unison, and unwavering faith.

Joshua 1:5 NLT "No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you."
4.      Can we see this together?
a)     We can accomplish it together only if we can envision it together.
(1) Kill 'em with kindness, kindness is our key.
(a) Making a difference individually, locally and globally.
H.    Vision is a force to be reckoned with, when God desires to move forward He sends a vision, a dream, an encounter.
1.      Excuses are the crutches of the uncommitted.
a)     Dream a dream for your life envision greater.
2.      I'm not telling you it is going to be easy, I'm telling you it's going to be worth it.
a)     Fasting silences the selfish within and reveals to you a glimpse of God's plans.
b)     We must keep moving, keep fighting, keep working, and keep praying, God is listening.
3.      If you want bible results, (miracles, signs, and wonders) in your life then you have have to live bible principles.
4.      I've been praying for my January 25th miracle early, expecting God to move on my behalf why can't I, I am favored of God the scripture says.
a)     My fear of disobeying or displeasing the Lord is stronger than my fear of man's response to my God Assignment.
5.      Vision is the ability to see new possibilities.
a)     When you ask God to do the impossible, He usually instructs you to do something uncomfortable.
b)     The ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.
6.      Vision is a picture of the future.
a)     Next it becomes a process to build the future.
b)     Then daily it's a continuation to see the vision come to fruition.
c)      Finally the vision is realized and experienced.
(1) You will always find the will of God in the Word of God.
(a) Everyone looks for a leader, they look for a prophet, they look and search for a word instead of getting and speaking to the Word Himself, Jesus Christ.
(b) Everyone looking for a worship encounter, looking for a new vision, for God to do a new thing, instead of seeking that out themselves they wish to be satisfied, and pacified, with leftovers from others instead of from God Almighty.
(c)  He has spoken to us read Him, hear Him for yourself!
(d) Hear His guidance for yourself, hear His purpose for yourself.
(e) Hear His vision and dream for your life through His very voice!
V.     God, you are loving, You are wise, there is nothing in my life that You cannot revive.
A.     There is nothing too hard for our God.
1.      Your word inside of us He is my strength, and my everything, He is my hope.
2.      Your breath inside my lungs, He wastes nothing.
3.      You work all things for good, nothing is wasted.
a)     We say things like what a waste.
b)     I'm just wasting time.
c)      What a waste of resources.
d)     Just wasting away, well God wastes nothing!
B.     What God needs He'll create what He doesn't create He'll revive, what God can't revive He'll restore, what God can't revive or restore, He'll resurrect!
1.      There are no unsolved problems with God.
C.     He is mankind's resource of healing, restoration, vision, honor, purpose, salvation, love, encouragement, compassion, deliverance, protection, provision, passion, mission, and purity.
1.      There is no chain of addiction that He can not break.
2.      There is no disease that can overcome His healing.
3.      There is no sin that can over take His grace.
4.      There is no shame that He can not bring confidence into.
5.      There is no condemnation that His forgiveness doesn't expunge.
6.      There is no hate that overwhelms His love.
7.      And there is no disbelief that makes Him nonexistent.
a)     Nothing is wasted!
