We are going to #reachUkiah with a vision.
We are going to #reachUkiah with love.
Your life as a Christian should make nonbelievers question
their disbelief in God.
Our love for others should make the world around us take
notice.
I.
Love is our language.
Philemon 1:5-7 NLT "[5] because I keep hearing about
your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all of God's people. [6] And I
am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your
faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ.
[7] Your love has given me much joy and comfort, my brother, for your kindness
has often refreshed the hearts of God's people."
A.
It's our vision is to see people
saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped, empowered and serving.
1.
I keep hearing about your faith in
the Lord Jesus.
2.
Not just faith in the church, not
just faith in your Christian relatives, not just faith in the next big event
but in Jesus Christ.
3.
Faith in Jesus Christ is what gets us
to heaven.
a)
Faith is our foundation, believing so
much that we would step out on nothing to experience everything.
(1) Now
faith.

Many of us love family, love spouses,
love friends, but do we love all?
1.
Do we love beyond borders and
parameters?
2.
Do we treat all people good?
3.
Do we treat all people kind, treat
all people with compassion, with courage, with understanding and with love?
4.
Do we treat them with grace, mercy
and forgiveness?
a)
As we express mercy, we express His
love.
D.
In the global church there is a
definitive understaffing of the love of God being displayed and demonstrated.
1.
We are the people of God and
demonstrating the love of God is our specialty, it's our DNA, it's our way,
it's how the bible teaches that the world knows we are different.
2.
Me loving someone does not take the
pain away but it encourages them to know that someone cares, that someone is
concerned, and that someone is calling out their name in prayer.

demonstrate prayer and that God will answer with fire!
3.
I have a vision that prayer and faith
in God will be our first step and not our last resort.

Luke 4:18-19 NLT [18] "The Spirit of the LORD is upon
me, for He has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to
proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the
oppressed will be set free, [19] and that the time of the LORD's favor has
come."
A.
It's our vision is to see people
saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped, empowered and serving because
it's God's vision for the church.
1.
I'm not making up a vision statement
and living out the vision that I created, or that was created by a committee or
group of members but deriving it straight from the word of an Almighty, all
powerful, all knowing, all resource having God.
2 Peter 1:5-9 NLT [5] In view of all this, make every
effort to respond to God's promises. Supplement your faith with a generous
provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, [6] and
knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and
patient endurance with godliness, [7] and godliness with brotherly affection,
and brotherly affection with love for everyone. [8] The more you grow
like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our
Lord Jesus Christ."
2.
Love is a very, very powerful weapon.
a)
It was love that called Jesus to this
earth, it was love that led Him to minister to the masses, it was love that
held Him to the scourging post bringing healing, bringing compassion to every
person.
b)
It was love that led Him to that
cruel cross, where He poured out His life, poured out His truth, poured out His
sacrifice for all of mankind.
c)
It was love that held Him to that
cruel and brutal death on that cross and it was love that cried out "Father
forgive them, they don't know what they are doing."
d)
It was love that said I will raise
Him from the dead so He'll defeat death, hell and the grave!
e)
It was love that silences every enemy
and it's love that has brought us forgiveness, belief, and eternal life!
(1) For
He is love!
III.
Love is our answer.
1 John 3:16-19 NLT [16] We know what real love is because
Jesus gave up His life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our
brothers and sisters. [17] If someone has enough money to live well and sees a
brother or sister in need but shows no compassion-how can God's love be in that
person? [18] Dear children, let's not merely say that we love each other; let
us show the truth by our actions. [19] Our actions will show that we belong to
the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God."
A.
It's our vision is to see people
saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped, empowered and serving.

unworthy, so untalented, so ungifted and we absolutely are but because of God's
unfailing love, His unfailing power, we must speak out, speak up, speak over
others, and speak into their life our great God.
Romans 8:28 NLT "And we know that God causes
everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called

and through each of us.
