Heart for the house-God needs you

Romans 12:1 “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him. 2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

We have a personal responsibility to the heart of this house.

  1.God doesn't need anything.
a.God is self sufficient, self-sustaining and self-dependent.
                                            i.     God doesn't need anything to exist.
ii.     He exists by His own power.
iii.     You can't give Him anything that will help Him to exist, to get better or to improve because he is perfect as He is.
b.He is self sustaining.
1.We don't have anything on this earth that is self-sustaining.
2.When I say God needs you, I understand God doesn't need anybody.
  2.God decided to need you.
a.In His sovereignty, His self-sufficiency, God decided to need you.
                                            i.     He did not decide to need you to exist.
ii.     He decided to need you to coexist.
iii.     This is very important for you and I to understand.
iv.     God decided to coexist with me.
1.God decided to be my friend and companion.
2.He decided to create me and He decided to love me.
3.He needed my love not to exist, but to coexist.

Genesis 2:19 “So the lord God formed from the soil every kind of animal and bird. He brought them to Adam to see what he would call them, and Adam chose a name for each one.” God gave a job to man after he created him.”

4.God created a person in His image and immediately needs Him to do something for Him.
b.He needed Adam to name the animals.
c. Since He gave him dominion or authority, with that comes responsibility.
                                            i.     Adam had authority over the animals so he had the responsibility of naming them.
3.He created Adam in such a way that he needed him.
a.I'm not saying He doesn't have the power cause He is all-powerful.
b.He had the power to name the animals but He created a system and a structure in which He would coexist and partner with man.
                                            i.     He cooperates with us.
c. He limited His power on earth to partner with us.
                                            i.     I think Adam was a genius.
ii.     He was created by a genius and hung out with a genius.
iii.     Remember there was no sin so Adam had some mad skills.
iv.     He had to be a genius to name all the animals when you think of how many there were.
                                         v.     God didn't create a dummy.
d.Even though Adam was a genius I personally think he got tired of naming the animals.
                                            i.     It's apparent he got tired when you look at just the birds.
1.Red bird, blue bird, black bird, humming bird, umm woodpecker?
2.God could have said come here son this is a giraffe, this is a duck, that's a deer.
3.He could have named the animals but he didn't.
4.God flung the stars into the sky and calls them by name because He has authority.
5.But He gave us the authority over the earth.
6.So Adam had something to do.
e.This will blow your theology unless you understand Gods partnership with man.
f.   He didn't have to, He decided to.
g.He has a heart for our house, our temple; you and I a living temple of the Holy Spirit.

Mark 6:5 “And because of their unbelief, He couldn’t do any mighty miracles among them except to place His hands on a few sick people and heal them. 6 And He was amazed at their unbelief.”

h.The bible does not say Jesus would not do a mighty work there, but it says He could not because of their unbelief.
                                            i.     Please connect, this is the Word of God, He could not!
1.Jesus was not able.
ii.     It’s not that He doesn't have the power.
iii.     He has chosen to partner with people.
1.What have you chosen to not believe in?
2.What miracle are you holding the Son of God back from accomplishing in your life, in your spirit, in your church, in your family, in the life of your children, or in your community all because you refuse to believe?
3.He has a heart for your house.
i.   He has chosen to limit His power according to your actions.
                                            i.     If you need a miracle in your marriage it's up to you to work on it.
ii.     If you need a miracle in your health it's up to you to do something.
iii.     If you need a miracle in your kids it's up to you to do something.
iv.     Have a heart for the house, have a heart for their house.
j.   God’s power is available to those who act.
                                            i.     For those who believe.
                                         ii.     For those who respond.
iii.     He could not do a mighty work there because of their unbelief.
iv.     He chose to limit Himself.
1.I guess I have a question here.
4.Do you think the devil knows this principle?

1 Samuel 17:4-7 “4 Then Goliath, a Philistine champion from Gath, came out of the Philistine ranks to face the forces of Israel. He was over nine feet tall! 5 He wore a bronze helmet, and his bronze coat of mail weighed 125 pounds. 6 He also wore bronze leg armor, and he carried a bronze javelin on his shoulder. 7 The shaft of his spear was as heavy and thick as a weaver's beam, tipped with an iron spearhead that weighed 15 pounds. His armor bearer walked ahead of him carrying a shield.”
a.This is a type of the antichrist.
b.Goliath is standing up challenging the people of God saying, where is your God?
                                            i.     Where is His heart for your house, His care and concern for your situation, where is He and what could He possibly do?
c. That is exactly what he does in Revelation.
                                            i.     Where is the power of your God?
d.KJV-Here is Goliath standing up six cubits and a span, six pieces of armor, and a spearhead weighing six hundred shekels.
                                            i.     666 standing up saying where is your God?

1 Samuel 17:8-11 “8 Goliath stood and shouted a taunt across to the Israelites. "Why are you all coming out to fight?" he called. "I am the Philistine champion, but you are only the servants of Saul. Choose one man to come down here and fight me! 9 If he kills me, then we will be your slaves. But if I kill him, you will be our slaves! 10 I defy the armies of Israel today! Send me a man who will fight me!" 11 When Saul and the Israelites heard this, they were terrified and deeply shaken.

e.Satan, talking through Goliath, because he knows this principle that God has chosen to work through people.
f.   Chose a man for yourselves and let him come down to me.
g.I defy the armies of God give me a man that we may fight together.
                                            i.     Give me a man with a heart for his house and let me destroy him!
h.Saul and Israel heard and were terrified and deeply shaken.
                                            i.     We're they people of faith or fear?
ii.     Are you a person of faith or fear?
i.   He knows God has all the power but has chosen to work through people.
                                            i.     That day Satan said, "I've got you God, I've got you now and I've got your people.
ii.     Do you know why, because you don't have a man who is willing to stand up and face my giant?
iii.     I know you have chosen to limit your power on earth and since you don't have a man I can take all of your people into bondage.
j.   God could have sent a lightning bolt and hit Goliath right on top of the head.
                                            i.     But He doesn't work that way.
ii.     You may say yeah but I have all these examples in the scripture where God does work that way.
1.Go back and read them.
k.It was because a person stood up and believed Him.
                                            i.     Even 2nd Kings 19 when an angel slew 185,000 of the Assyrian army, Hezekiah prayed!
1.God said to Hezekiah, because you prayed I'm going to send my angel.
ii.     Joshua prayed and the sun stood still.
iii.     Daniel prays, the King prays and fasts for him all night and God shuts the mouths of the lions.
iv.     Paul and Silas sing worship songs, they pray, then an earthquake occurs and they are set free.
                                         v.     Ester saved her nation because she spoke up even while facing death!
vi.     Mary prays and says, “Lord be it unto me.”
l.   Satan said, "I've got you God because you don't have a man to come down and fight."
m.               God said, "I don't even need a man, I've got a boy!" I have a teenage boy I have been preparing for this moment.
n.Nothing you do Satan takes me by surprise because I know the future.
o.I knew you were going to do this so I prepared him and he has got the faith.
                                            i.     God directed the stone but David had to sling it.
1.This principle is all through scripture.

Romans 10: 13-14 “13 For Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved." 14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?”

2.God will not come down independent of us and save the whole world.
3.The way the world is going to get saved is if we witness and preach!
p.God works through people.
                                            i.     You probably prayed this prayer, "Lord send someone to witness to my neighbor."
1.They're thirty feet away!
2.Why would you ask God to send someone else?
3.They won't get saved unless you or someone else shares Jesus.
4.God partners with man.
5.Have you decided to need God?
a.What are we hearing in the world today?
b.Man is not important.
c. Man has only been on this planet for a little while.
d.God did not make me for the animals; He made the animals for me.
                                            i.     I'm what's important to God, I'm the one created in His image.
ii.     The spotted owl is not in the image of God.
e.Have you decided to need God?
                                            i.     And I'm not just talking about salvation; in every moment of your life, in every thing that you do?
ii.     Don't wait until a tragedy happens to tell God you need Him.
1.God, I am completely dependent on you.
f.   God has chosen to work through us and limit what He does on earth through us.
g.Let me tell you what God will not do.
h.God will not do what you can do.
                                            i.     God is not going to love a wife the way a husband is suppose to love his wife.
ii.     He has chosen you to disciple your children in fear and admonition.
1.Husband that's your responsibility.
a.That’s our heart for the house.
2.We keep wanting, desiring God to do something when He is waiting on us to move.
i.   For years, people have been talking about the move of God that is coming.
j.   When is it going to get here?
k.And what is He waiting on?
l.   We don't just need a move of God; we need a move of man!
                                            i.     We need some people to say, “here I am God send me.”
6.Everything that has happened at CWC thus far has happened because God moved and then you moved.
a.I didn't move first, but God moved then we moved.
b.God speaks and we’re going step out in faith.
c. Buy the land, start the building, hire staff, start a ministry.
d.Some of you are asking God to move and God’s saying, "It’s your move."
e.I have already moved!
                                            i.     We have been in a move of God for over 2000 years ago since Jesus came then outpouring of the Holy Spirit converged.
ii.     He has been poured out and He is here we’re not waiting for another outpouring!
iii.     God is waiting on us to move.
f.   Adam and Eve make one mistake and get kicked out of the garden.
                                            i.     That seems a little harsh doesn't it?
ii.     They ate one piece of fruit, they didn't launch Smuckers providing jams all across the world, and they didn’t make a cobbler.
g.Harsher than this, when Adam sinned you were condemned.
                                            i.     The whole world was condemned.

Romans 5:12 “When Adam sinned, sin entered the entire human race. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.”
ii.     One man sinned and the whole world was condemned.
iii.     You were born a sinner you were born condemned.
iv.     Is that a little harsh? Yes it is!
                                         v.     What it actually is, is brilliant.
vi.     Since it only took one man to lose it all, it only took one man to get it all back.
1.If everyone were condemned for his or her own sins, then everyone would have to live a perfect life to be redeemed.
2.No one here will go to hell because of his or her sins.
3.You will go to hell because of unbelief.
4.That's what the Bible says.
5.You were born condemned.
vii.     If you believe you go to heaven, if you don't you go to hell.
h.Goliath who represents Satan said choose a man that he may come down and fight with me.
i.   If I win you become my servants, if he wins we become your servants.
j.   You work through men God, choose a man.
                                            i.     God said I choose Jesus!
ii.     Satan said wait, wait, wait, I said a man, He is not a man.
iii.     God said, we will just make Him a man.
iv.     In the greatest act of all God needed a man.
                                         v.     Jesus had to become a man to redeem us.

Conclusion: God doesn't need anything, but he decided to need you. Have you decided to need him?
·       His heart for your house is so passionate, so strong, and so mission driven.
·       He loves you and His love is not performance based, it is grace based.
