Exodus 4:10-13, NLT
"But Moses pleaded with the LORD, "O Lord, I'm
not very good with words. I never have been, and I'm not now, even though you
have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled."Then the
LORD asked Moses, "Who makes a person's mouth? Who decides whether people
speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the
LORD? Now go! I will be with you as you
speak, and I will instruct you in what to say." But Moses again pleaded, "Lord, please!
Send anyone else."
1.Reach because it's God's way.
1.Moses pleaded with God to let him out
of his mission.
2.After all, he was not a good speaker
and would probably embarrass both himself and God.
1.But God looked at Moses' problem
quite differently.
2.All Moses needed was some help, and
who better than God could help him say and do the right things?
3.God made his mouth and would give him
the words to say.
1.It is easy for us to focus on our
weaknesses, but if God asks us to do something, then he will help us get the
job done.
2.If the job involves some of our weak
areas, then we can trust that he will provide words, strength, courage, and
ability where needed.
2.Reach your city through ministry of
rescue, restoration, relationship, and redemption. There is no better way.
1.We need to reach up, reach in, reach
out, reach around, reach under, reach over, reach now.
1.Reach because you have been called by
God?
2.We each have contacts, relationships,
acquaintances, friends, and family that need Christ.
"Our church
is open to everybody, as long as they conform to the way we do it." Joe
Skiles
This is a horrible mentality of judgment!
2.This church, this student ministry,
every ministry that is an extension of this church should speak out, serve out,
and live out that "everyone is welcome."
1.Everyone.
2.No exclusions.
1. Go out into all the world.
2.
Preach the gospel to every creature.
Proverbs 31:8-9 (NLT)
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves;
ensure justice for those being crushed. [9] Yes, speak up for the poor and
helpless, and see that they get justice."
1.God's word states our responsibility
for being an aid to the hopeless, helpless and oppressed around us.
2.As Christians we must have a thriving
attitude.
1.I will survive and my species will
survive because of me.
2.Christianity needs a survive because
of me mentality.
Luke 24:46-49 (NLT)
And he said, "Yes, it was written long ago that the
Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day. [47] It
was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his
name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: 'There is forgiveness of sins
for all who repent.' [48] You are witnesses of all these things. [49] "And
now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in
the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from
heaven."
3. Reach because
you have been Power from heaven:
There are 5
things you can do with Jesus or the Holy Spirit.
1.Reject Him
2.Ignore Him
3.Postpone Him
4.Agree with Him
5.Commit yourself to Him.
2. But the 1ST four all send a
person to the
same place…A Christ less eternity.
Jonah 3:2,4-5,10 (NLT)
"Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh, and
deliver the message I have given you." [4] On the day Jonah entered the
city, he shouted to the crowds: "Forty days from now Nineveh will be
destroyed!" [5] The people of Nineveh believed God's message, and from the
greatest to the least, they declared a fast and put on burlap to show their
sorrow. [10] When God saw what they had done and how they had put a stop to
their evil ways, he changed his mind and did not carry out the destruction he
had threatened."

Go preach.
Mark 16:15-18 (NLT)
"And then he told them, "Go into all the world
and preach the Good News to everyone. [16] Anyone who believes and is baptized
will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. [17] These
miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in
my name, and they will speak in new languages. [18] They will be able to handle
snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won't hurt them.
They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be
healed."
1.Just like Jonah, just like the
disciples of Christ, we have all run away from the job of delivering God's
word, God's message to others.
1.Jonah, and the disciples were happy,
grateful when they were saved but got upset that others were being changed.
2.The disciples of Christ had finally
understood the commission to go, now they just had to preach.
Acts
2:41-47
1.Peter preached, they believed, now
it's our turn.

2.The pressure is on, the challenge has
been set what do I need to do to ensure performance?
3.What are you doing to change the
course of others?
4.What are you doing with the Gospel of
Jesus Christ?

Romans 5:8 (NLT) "But God showed
his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still
sinners."
So
it comes down to this tonight:
•
Will you
choose to share Christ?
•
Will you
choose to be a world changer?
•
Will you
choose to be the one to take Christ to them?
•
Will you
choose to be used?
•
Be the
influence in others?
•
When it's
hard?
•
When it
costs you something?
•
When it's
inconvenient?
•
When it
even seems impossible?
